Uri Levine: "SOCAR did not buy Waze"

Today, the 2nd day of the InMerge Innovation Summit was held in Baku. Waze co-founder Uri Levine also spoke at the summit. He talked about building, developing and selling Waze. Uri Levine also touched on an interesting point during his speech. He said that while he was in Azerbaijan, he was asked whether SOCAR bought Waze. In the continuation, he said that there is no such thing.
Some time ago, such a rumor was spread among taxi drivers in Azerbaijan. They claimed that Waze had been purchased and that it was more fuel efficient with a longer distance display.
In June 2013, Waze Mobile was acquired by Google for US$1.3 billion.
