Wildberries wants to buy the Citymobil taxi service

Russia's largest online shopping platform Wildberries intends to acquire taxi service Citymobil. The Bell reported this, citing two market sources. According to the information, the terms of the possible deal have not yet been disclosed.

Wildberries is already testing its own taxi service called WB Taxi in Belarus. It is not known when the testing phase will end.

The company, responding to the allegations, called the news "rumors" and refused to give an official comment. The management of Citymobil expressed a similar position and announced that they did not know the source of the information.

Citymobil was founded in 2007. In 2019, VK and Sberbank established a joint venture based on this service. In March 2022, Citymobil announced that it would cease operations, and later the brand and technology base were sold to the company Taksovichkof.

In recent months, Wildberries has been expanding its scope of activity: the company has acquired UzPost, a state-owned postal operator in Uzbekistan, and Magas Airport in Ingushetia.
