YouTube is about to make changes to the skip button for ads. It is claimed that the video sharing platform has completely removed the skip button, leaving some users unable to skip ads.
The platform previously allowed you to skip ads before or during videos after a few seconds. But, unfortunately, YouTube is now deprecating this feature and removing the skip ads button.
Some PC users have started seeing a circular countdown timer and a gray rectangle hiding the skip ads button.
ALSO APPLIED ON MOBILE DEVICES
It is known that YouTube is also testing this feature in its application used on Android devices. It turned out that the rectangle that hides the skip ads button on the computer and the timer are not visible at all on Android devices.
A PERIOD OF UNSKIPPABLE ADVERTISEMENTS
Following these developments, YouTube may intend to make ads unskippable by hiding the skip button. Although the platform has not yet made an official announcement, this innovation is expected to expand in the coming days.
