On the initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, another meeting was held with about 20 ICT companies within the framework of the "digiTalk for Business" project. Inara Valiyeva, the chairman of IRIA, who greeted the company leaders with her opening speech, said that the Agency's goal is to make Azerbaijan a leader in digitalization and innovation in the region, and in this context, close cooperation between the state and the private sector plays a leading role. "By holding such meetings with small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of ICT, IRIA gets to know the needs of the companies, and performs a bridge function in the direction of taking adequate measures for the categorization of difficulties and solving them," said I. Valiyeva noted.
Later, speeches of company leaders took place. During their speeches, they gave detailed information about the direction of their company's activities. In addition, the speakers discussed strengthening the country's ICT competitiveness, reducing dependence on the foreign labor market in the field of software, training local ICT specialists, increasing transparency in services provided to public and private sector entities, accessibility of data-based decision-making mechanisms within the framework of public and private sector cooperation, and the application of international standards. , expressed their suggestions and opinions regarding the creation of fertile conditions for the operation of the ICT.
In the second part of the event, an interactive discussion session began with the participation of Shahin Aliyev, adviser to the chairman of IRIA. In the discussion, the companies exchanged ideas and experience on the mentioned topics. During the discussion, the strategic importance of the "2022-2026 socio-economic development strategy" and the importance of implementing the provisions related to the development of the ICT sector were emphasized.
It should be noted that the "digiTalk for Business" project was created as an umbrella platform for the discussion of difficulties arising during the contact of small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of ICT in the country with the public and private sector, as well as providing opinions and suggestions. As a result of these meetings, the "digiTalk for Business" community was established and all the opinions and suggestions received were classified according to the relevant directions.
