A new "digital friend" feature is coming from Instagram

Instagram is developing an "artificial intelligence-powered virtual friend" feature that can be customized for users. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to create and interact with an AI chatbot of their choice.

Information about this feature in the test version was shared by Alessandro Paluzzi. Users can chat, ask questions and share their thoughts with this AI chatbot. Users can also select the chatbot's gender, age range, ethnicity, and personality traits.

In addition, users can choose a name and avatar for their AI-powered friends. However, Instagram has not yet made an official statement about this feature and it is not clear when the feature will be available.
