AI Hardware Platform Stoa Raises Investment from 212

Stoa, which is developing infrastructure for trading and pricing physical AI hardware, has raised investment from venture capital firm 212. The financial details of the investment have not been disclosed.

The company plans to use the funding to develop its products, expand its engineering and data teams, grow its network of buyers and suppliers, and increase its reach in international markets.

Founded in 2026 by Berat Çelik, Eren Berke Sağlam and Kaan Yiğit, San Francisco-based Stoa also participated in Y Combinator’s Summer 2026 program. The startup focuses on the trading and pricing of physical AI hardware, particularly GPUs. Its platform consists of two main products: Stoa Markets, a spot marketplace for GPUs, and Stoa Intelligence, which provides pricing data.

Stoa Markets connects companies looking to purchase hardware with verified suppliers. The platform coordinates the process from collecting competitive offers to completing transactions. Services such as inspection, shipping, insurance and financing are also integrated through partners.

Stoa Intelligence provides price indices and valuation data to help companies track the market value of their hardware assets. The company’s model prices hardware based on factors such as model, configuration, condition and age. Stoa says its pricing data is derived from transactions conducted through the platform.

Stoa co-founder and CEO Berat Çelik said the company aims to build exchange infrastructure for physical AI hardware, starting with GPUs. According to Çelik, the prices of physical GPUs can move differently from the rental prices of computing capacity. This creates a separate pricing risk for both hardware owners and institutions financing these assets.

In 2027, the company plans to develop infrastructure for financial products linked to the value of GPU hardware. It also intends to expand its existing marketplace and pricing solutions with tools designed to manage hardware price risk.

Stoa co-founder and CTO Kaan Yiğit said the company brings verification, offer collection, payments and transaction records together in a single system. He added that the data behind its price index is also generated through this infrastructure.

Kıvanç Aydın, Regional Fund Partner at 212, noted that as investment in AI infrastructure increases, GPUs are taking up a larger share of companies’ balance sheets. However, he said that GPU trading processes remain fragmented and pricing lacks sufficient transparency. According to Aydın, Stoa’s ambition to generate reference prices from marketplace transactions and eventually develop into a platform for hardware financing and price-risk management was a factor in the investment decision.
