A new feature added to Instagram allows users to remove and change the background of their photos. This feature enables AI-powered background editing directly through Instagram, eliminating the need for third-party apps.
Users are presented with various suggestions when they tap on the background editor icon. Following these instructions, removing a background and adding a new background becomes quite simple. When stories are shared on the newly created background, a sticker is displayed, allowing other users to quickly try out the feature.
The AI-powered background editor feature is currently only available to Instagram users in the US. To use this feature, simply open Instagram, come to the Story sharing screen, and tap the background change icon. After the background of the photo becomes transparent, a request is entered to add the desired background, and then the photo with the new background is shared.
