The "Find Face Multi" artificial intelligence system, developed by the company NtechLab, has been successfully implemented in the Novosibirsk region. Integrated into the "Safe City" video surveillance complex, the system is capable of recognizing the faces of missing children with over 99% accuracy, generating significant public interest.
In cases where a child goes missing, parents can call the emergency number 112 and receive an SMS containing a link. By following the link, they can upload a photo of the missing child. The uploaded image is then sent to the "Safe City" system, where it is compared in real time with surveillance camera footage. If the algorithm identifies the child’s face with 99.8% accuracy, the relevant authorities are immediately informed of the location where the child was found.
Following the system's implementation, six missing children have been found—five of them identified through biometric recognition. Additionally, 22 children were returned home after authorities contacted their parents. In total, 25 children were located during the system’s first month of operation.
The Novosibirsk region is the first in Russia to implement this system. The experience is now being expanded to Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
Experts note that AI-based systems like this are not just virtual tools—they are essential in real-life safety efforts. The algorithms developed by NtechLab enable rapid response through integration with regional video surveillance networks, significantly accelerating the process of locating missing children. As the system continues to expand, it may set new standards in regional public safety measures.
