Anthropic launches new AI agent platform for businesses

Anthropic has announced a new product for businesses called Claude Managed Agents. The tool provides companies with a ready-made infrastructure for building, managing, and deploying AI agents at scale.

The new system provides developers with not only a model, but also the entire technical environment needed to run agents — tools, storage, and a secure sandbox. These agents can run autonomously in the cloud for hours, monitor the activity of other agents, and have access to various software tools.

The company says that previously, building such systems required large engineering teams. Now, Managed Agents simplifies this process, allowing companies to focus their resources on their core products.

According to Anthropic, the company has now surpassed $30 billion in annual recurring revenue, and much of this growth has been driven by the Claude Platform, which allows developers to use AI models via APIs and deploy agents in their own environments.

During the product launch, Notion demonstrated a real-world use of the new technology. During the demo, the AI agent was shown to automatically perform a number of tasks during the customer onboarding process.

Anthropic is trying to strengthen its position in the corporate AI market with this step, competing with companies such as OpenAI. Experts note that such solutions can affect the traditional software market and put some SaaS models at risk.

However, analysts believe that it will take some time for enterprises to fully transition to AI agents.
