According to Trump, Tim Cook promised to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in the US economy and close two factories in Mexico and reopen them in the US.
In addition, in addition to iPhone production in the US, chip production is also expanding. The Taiwanese company TSMC is preparing to launch a new plant in Arizona. Currently, the transition to 3 nm and 2 nm technologies is not planned, and this process will not occur earlier than 2028. However, chip production for the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus models is already possible in the US.
