Apple has begun talks with major news and publishing organizations to train AI models. Offering a multi-year contract worth at least $50 million for each news organization, Apple aims to develop productive artificial intelligence systems using the content of these organizations. Major news sources such as Condé Nast, NBC News and IAC are among the organizations that have been contacted by Apple about this offer.
However, some publishers reportedly reacted negatively to Apple's offer. Apple's internally tested artificial intelligence model (Apple GPT) plans to introduce new artificial intelligence features to users with the iOS 18 update. The move comes in response to Microsoft, Google and Meta integrating generative AI into their products last year.
