This model is equipped with an A18 processor and is one of the rare devices that supports Apple Intelligence technology. At the same time, it provides free access to ChatGPT via Siri.
Serious changes in design: Home button and Lightning port are no longer there
Apple has made serious changes to the design this time. The Touch ID button has been completely eliminated and replaced with the Face ID system. The notch, similar to the iPhone X series, has also returned.
In addition, the Lightning port has been completely removed and replaced with a USB-C input. Apple is now trying to standardize USB-C connectivity on all its devices.
Larger screen and longer battery life
The new iPhone 16e is equipped with a 6.1-inch OLED screen. According to Apple, this model will be the 6.1-inch iPhone with the longest battery life ever. The device offers 12 hours more battery life than previous SE models.

The iPhone 16e is equipped with a 48 MP main camera and a 2x optical zoom function. The company calls this camera a “two-in-one” camera, emphasizing that it can take photos in both 48 MP and 24 MP quality. On the front panel, the TrueDepth camera, which supports Face ID, is located.
Apple's China market struggles and new strategy
The launch of the iPhone 16e comes at a critical time for Apple. Apple's market share in China has fallen by 11% in recent months. This is mainly due to the rise of Huawei and other local brands, as well as the fact that Apple Intelligence is not yet available in the Chinese market.
Apple is in talks with Chinese technology giants such as Tencent, ByteDance and Alibaba to provide a specific artificial intelligence solution for the country.
