US-based Apple to train Azerbaijani teachers as certified instructors
This was announced by Vusala Gurbanova, Head of the Digital Skills Development Department at the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA), which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
According to her, IRIA is on the verge of signing an agreement with Apple regarding this initiative: "The company will train teachers from Azerbaijan. A quota of eight spots has been allocated to our country. The teachers will undergo training and receive 'Apple Certified Trainer' credentials, enabling them to conduct training sessions for young people in Azerbaijan—primarily university students."
She noted that, given the nature of the initiative, higher education institutions were contacted: "We requested that they nominate teachers specializing in operating systems, iOS, and programming. We will train these educators, who, in turn, will go on to train university students."
