Amazon Web Services (AWS) will launch a new AI agent marketplace platform next week at the AWS Summit in New York City. Anthropic will be one of the key partners on this platform.
Through this new marketplace, small and medium businesses will be able to offer their AI agents directly to AWS customers, while enterprises can easily browse and install agents that suit their needs. This move will strengthen competition in the AI market for both AWS and Anthropic.
Anthropic is already supported by Amazon and is expected to receive additional multi-billion-dollar investments soon. The company emphasizes that AI agents are the future of technology and offers API services to help developers create their own agents.
The AWS marketplace model will enable startups to generate revenue from agent installations, and competition is expected to increase as more participants join. Meanwhile, major companies like Google Cloud, Microsoft, and others have already launched their own AI agent marketplaces.
This innovation will accelerate the adoption of AI agents and provide AWS customers with more options. However, succeeding in the market remains a challenge for smaller startups.
