Azerbaijan has fallen behind in terms of internet speed

In August of this year, Azerbaijan ranked 120th among 182 countries with a speed of 28.7 MB/S according to the median (average) speed of fixed broadband Internet.

According to the Speedtest Global Index report, this is a 3-point drop compared to July. Singapore (254.65 MB/S) and Cuba (1.95 MB/S) took the first place in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed.

According to information, our country ranked 54th among 145 countries in August with a speed of 42.94 MB/s. This means an improvement of 2 steps compared to July. In terms of mobile internet speed, the first place was taken by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) (210.89 MB/S), and the last - 145th place by Cuba (4.34 MB/S).

In addition, in August, the city of Baku remained stable in terms of mobile internet speed and took the 73rd place among 171 cities with a speed of 45.5 MB/s.

According to the speed of mobile internet among the cities, the first place was taken by the city of Dubai of the United Arab Emirates with a speed of 259.65 MB/S, and the last place was taken by the city of Havana, Cuba with a speed of 4.11 MB/S.

The capital of Azerbaijan ranked 141st according to the speed of fixed broadband internet with a speed of 29.21 MB/s, which is a drop of 3 places.

193 cities competed in the fixed broadband internet rating of cities. Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, topped the list with a speed of 280.24 MB/S. Havana, the capital of Cuba, was the last with a speed of 1.88 MB/S.
