Azerbaijani founder’s startup receives new investment

The international startup accelerator and investment fund Rockstart has invested in the Netherlands-based agricultural technology startup Agcurate through its AgriFood Fund II.

Agcurate provides data-driven management solutions for farmers and agribusinesses. Its tools help reduce costs, optimize water and energy use, increase crop yields, and ensure transparency and sustainability across the supply chain.

These capabilities are delivered through the FieldOps SaaS platform. The platform combines satellite imagery with specialized machine learning algorithms to monitor crop growth stages, determine irrigation needs, predict pest risks, and provide precise yield forecasts.

It’s worth noting that in the second quarter of 2025, investments in precision agriculture technologies surpassed agrobiotechnology for the first time since 2017, according to PitchBook data.

Agcurate was founded in 2020 by Azerbaijani entrepreneur Matin Amanullahi and his partner Berk Ulker. The startup previously received investment from the Azerbaijan-based Caucasus Ventures fund.
