Azerbaijani Government Authorities Request Information from Meta on 6 Users
Meta has published a report covering the first six months of 2024. According to the report, Azerbaijani government agencies sent Meta 4 information requests during this period.
Of these requests:
- 3 were requests within the framework of legal proceedings, and
- 1 was an urgent disclosure request.
In total, information on 6 users or accounts was requested.
Meta said that each request from government authorities is carefully examined in accordance with the legislation and the platform's terms of use. If the request is legally inaccurate or extensive, additional information may be requested or the request may be rejected.
