“AzInTelecom” LLC, one of the AZCON Holding companies, has been accepted as a member of the internationally renowned organization “FIRST” (Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams) in the field of cybersecurity.
Thus, “AzInTelecom” was recognized by FIRST as the regional Computer Incident Response Center for the transport sector in Azerbaijan and gained the status of “Transport CERT” team. As part of the membership, the team’s activities were assessed according to the “SIM3” model and its compliance with international standards was confirmed based on an on-site inspection.
This status gives “AzInTelecom” the right to promptly neutralize foreign cyberattacks with international partners, exchange threat intelligence via the MISP platform, as well as the right to vote in the organization and represent it in working groups.
“AzInTelecom”’s acceptance as a member of “FIRST” confirms that the company operates in accordance with international standards in the field of cybersecurity and is recognized as a reliable partner of the global cybersecurity community. At the same time, it ensures the company's representation on the same global level as world giants such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Cisco and CrowdStrike, contributes to strengthening cyber resilience and developing institutional capabilities in the transport sector.
It should be noted that AzInTelecom is developing its activities in accordance with the Information Security and Cybersecurity Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2027, and is continuously strengthening its technological capabilities. The company will continue to contribute to further strengthening the country's digital security by expanding its potential and international partnerships in the field of cybersecurity.
