Telegram has applied to obtain its own .gram top-level domain. This was reported by the founder of the messenger Pavel Durov on the official Telegram channel.
According to Durov, if the application is approved by ICANN, one billion Telegram users will be able to obtain their own second-level domain.
For example, the user @durov will be able to use the domain durov.gram, and @monk will be able to use the domain monk.gram.
Durov said that if Telegram is granted its own domain, users will be able to create interactive websites and place them within Telegram without leaving the messenger, simply by sending a message.
This feature could allow Telegram users to create separate web addresses for personal pages, projects and various digital services.
