The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision under the President has filed a case against the owner of the Temu e-commerce platform for signs of violation of competition legislation.
Tech.az reports, citing the “Information on cases filed for signs of violation of competition legislation related to abuse of dominant position for 2026” published by the State Agency, that the case was filed against the company “PDD Holdings”.
It was stated that “PDD Holdings” abused its dominant position by applying a pricing policy that restricted competition through the Temu e-commerce platform.
As a result of the investigation conducted by the competition authority on its own initiative based on an internal appeal, signs were identified that the company violated the requirements of Articles 16.2.1 (application of low or high monopoly prices), 16.2.7 and 16.2.8 of the Azerbaijan Competition Code.
The agency added in its statement that the case is currently under consideration.
