Counter-Strike 2 will not be launch for macOS

Last month, the long-awaited Counter-Strike 2 was finally introduced. The main aspect that sets it apart from all the improvements it brought over CS:GO is its lack of support for macOS. When players installed Counter-Strike 2 last month or updated the CS:GO application on macOS, they realized that the new Counter-Strike 2 could no longer be played. Valve confirmed that, from that point onwards, Counter-Strike would only support 64-bit Windows and Linux and that supporting the game on macOS was meaningless. They even discontinued support for 32-bit versions of the game. "As technology advances, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue support for older hardware, including DirectX 9 and 32-bit operating systems," Valve stated. Likewise, the company will not offer Counter-Strike 2 for macOS. In the bigger picture, these platforms make up less than 1% of active CS:GO players, which is why Counter-Strike 2 will exclusively support 64-bit Windows and Linux.
