French music platform Deezer has launched a free online tool that allows users to identify songs created by artificial intelligence. The new service allows users to check whether their playlists on various streaming platforms contain tracks created by AI.
According to the company, Deezer introduced the technology to detect music created by artificial intelligence in 2025 and since then has been marking such songs and removing them from editorial playlists and algorithmic recommendations. In January 2026, the technology was also available for commercial use.
To use the new free detector, users need to visit Deezer’s website, select the “Scan my playlists” section, then connect the music platform they use – Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Yandex Music or another service. Deezer then analyzes the playlist and presents the results. Users can also upload music files directly to the system.
According to the company, the tool supports 27 languages.
According to technology publication The Verge, Deezer is likely using the Tune My Music service to import playlists. The same service is also used to transfer music libraries of users who switch to Deezer.
However, there are limitations on some platforms. For example, Yandex Music users may receive a notification when trying to check their playlists that the service does not provide an official API. In this case, Deezer recommends that users apply through social networks to Yandex Music to support this feature.
According to statistics released by Deezer, more than 13.4 million artificial intelligence-generated music tracks were detected and tagged on the platform in 2025. This is another indicator of the rapid spread of AI music.
