Xiaomi has introduced MiMo Code, a new AI agent for programming. The open-source and completely free tool allows you to write and edit code, analyze repositories, and automatically run tests from a terminal.
According to the company, MiMo Code outperformed Anthropic's Claude Code in some tests. However, independent evaluations show that the tool lags behind the most powerful closed models on the market. The main advantages of MiMo Code are its open license, low resource consumption, and commercial use.
