Disney will invest $1.5 billion in Epic Games

The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will partner with Epic Games to create a "new universe of games and entertainment." It will be associated with Fortnite, the flagship project of Epic Games. Disney will buy a stake in the game company for $1.5 billion. In the new universe, users will be able to play, watch videos, shop and interact with characters and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and Avatar. The project will run on the Unreal Engine game engine.
