Downloading Reers from Instagram is now enabled for everyone

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri said Wednesday that the app now allows users around the world to download Reels on their devices. Until then, Reels were saved to memory for later viewing. With the latest update, it is now possible to download videos to the device. The uploaded videos are marked with the logo of the platform and the name of the account, as in TikTok.
In order for videos to be uploaded by viewers, the account holder must allow it. (Settings > Privacy > Reels & Remix and "Allow people to download your Reels")
Note that if you are downloading a Reel that uses a licensed audio clip, the downloaded video will not have any sound.
Instagram started allowing users in the US to download their Reels in June, and now it's rolling out this feature to users worldwide.
