Dream Games Among Turkey’s Top Corporate Taxpayers in 2024

Turkey’s Ministry of Treasury and Finance has released the list of the largest corporate taxpayers for 2024. This year, the mobile gaming giant Dream Games has made the list, ranking 18th and contributing 4 billion Turkish lira (approximately $100 million) in corporate taxes to the state budget.

By doing so, Dream Games joins major players in the retail and banking sectors—LC Waikiki, BİM, and QNB Bank—and secures a position among the country’s financial elite.

Founded in 2019 by Soner Aydemir (CEO), İkbal Namlı, Hakan Sağlam, Eren Şengül, and Serdar Yılmaz, the startup has achieved global success in just five years. Its games, including Royal Match and Royal Kingdom, have been downloaded hundreds of millions of times worldwide, with Dream Games’ titles installed 447 million times in total.

During this period, the company has created hundreds of new jobs, contributed millions of lira to social security payments, and attracted international investors. Notably, Dream Games also received financial support this year from CVC, one of Europe’s largest investment funds.

Interestingly, Dream Games did not take advantage of tax incentives offered by technology parks. Despite this, the high tax amount it paid demonstrates the company’s significant real economic impact.

Experts believe that Dream Games’ inclusion in the list marks a turning point for Turkey’s technology ecosystem. As the only “pure tech company” among traditionally dominant banks and energy firms, it shows that the mobile gaming industry not only achieves international success but also generates substantial domestic economic value.

According to the Ministry, the top 20 companies on the list collectively paid 144.9 billion lira in taxes, with Dream Games alone contributing around 3% of this total.

In summary, Dream Games has grown beyond being just a successful startup—it is now one of the leading players in Turkey’s economy.
