Elon Musk Seeks $10 Billion Investment for xAI

Elon Musk's xAI artificial intelligence company is meeting with potential investors to secure a $10 billion investment. Prominent investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and Valor Equity Partners may show interest in investing in xAI.

xAI has raised a total of $12 billion in investments in May and December of 2024. While the exact valuation of the latest investment round was not disclosed, according to PitchBook data, the current valuation of the company is around $51 billion.

xAI first introduced its AI models on X, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk. Later, the company also began offering its services independently on its platform. Users can access xAI's chatbot, Grok, through its official website.

Today, on February 17, 2025, the new version of Grok, Grok 3, is set to be launched. Elon Musk praised the new bot, stating, "It leaves other AI bots behind."

xAI's current investors include notable companies such as Andreessen Horowitz, Fidelity Investments, BlackRock, Lightspeed Venture Partners, MGX, Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Morgan Stanley, Sequoia, and the Qatar Investment Authority.
