One year after Elon Musk's acquisition of X (formerly known as Twitter), a meeting was held at the company's headquarters. In 2024, Musk announced that X would become a "fully exclusive dating platform." The owner of the social network did not disclose what functions would enable this and whether users would have the option to make such an application. Like many other services, X may implement paid subscriptions to find partners.
Next year, X is also set to start operating as a "digital bank," regardless of whether users want it or not. "Money, securities, whatever you want – it will all be on our platform. I'm not talking about transferring $20 to my friend. It all stems from the fact that you don't need bank accounts in general," Musk said, as quoted by "The Verge."
X has already obtained a financial services license in nine US states. According to sources at The Verge, Musk expects to resolve the remaining states' licenses in the "coming months."
