The Chinese tech company Unitree Robotics has introduced its latest quadruped robot, the A2 Stellar Hunter, designed to tackle challenging terrains with ease. Resembling a mechanical dog, the robot weighs approximately 37 kilograms and demonstrates impressive mobility, including climbing mountains and balancing on a single leg, as shown in the company’s newly released video.
The A2 model can carry loads of up to 25 kg and withstand static weights of up to 100 kg.
In terms of endurance:
When fully loaded, it can walk continuously for 3 hours, covering around 12.5 km.
Without any load, it can operate for 5 hours straight, traveling up to 20 km.
With a maximum speed of 5 meters per second, the A2 Stellar Hunter is also designed to function in a wide temperature range from -20°C to 55°C. It features an HD camera and a wide-angle LiDAR sensor for effective environmental scanning and navigation.
The price of this new model has not been disclosed yet.
Earlier in July 2025, Unitree also introduced its R1 humanoid robot, starting at $5,900 (approximately 472,000 rubles as of August 6, 2025). The R1 is equipped with a multimodal AI system capable of recognizing voice commands and images.
