According to Elon Musk, social platform X may soon be paid for everyone. This step is taken to combat bot accounts on the platform.
Musk, who met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on live broadcast, said that this payment would be a "low amount", but did not reveal the exact amount. Currently, X has 550 million monthly users and 100 million to 200 million posts per day. Musk has previously stated that he is determined to solve the bot problem.
Musk did not say when this change will happen. However, the company has been making many updates for some time to encourage its users to subscribe to its paid subscription product, X Premium.
