The Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDIA) has started cooperation with the well-known European acceleration and incubation center “Tenity”. Within the framework of the cooperation, two hackathons and one incubation program designed for Azerbaijani fintech startups will be implemented. In addition to Azerbaijani startups, startups from other countries will be able to participate in these programs.
Farid Osmanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IDIA, emphasized the importance of the programs for the local ecosystem: “As IDIA, we continue to support programs that increase the financing and market accessibility of our local startups. I believe that these programs can also be a strong turning point in terms of development for many fintech startups operating in our country.”
Thus, the first-ever hackathon program is currently accepting applications. At the hackathon, which will take place on November 14-16, local startups will participate in training from international experts and will also be able to benefit from mentoring support. In addition, meetings with investors with whom Tenity is associated will be organized.
Startups that are founded or in the idea stage by individuals over 18 years of age who are active in the fintech field or who are interested in this field can join this hackathon program. At the end of the program, the three teams with the highest results will be awarded a cash prize. Those who wish to apply for the hackathon can use this link. Deadline for applications: November 7, 2025.
In addition to the hackathon, applications for the incubation program for fintech startups have also started. This four-month incubation program will provide startups that aim to turn ideas and prototypes into scalable businesses with the necessary mentorship, expert support, and access to an investor network. At the end of the program, startups will present their projects at the “Demo Day” event.
