Former Scale AI executive launches new AI agent – Aidnn

Isotopes AI, a startup founded by the former Head of Technology at Scale AI, has launched with a $20 million investment. The startup has created an AI agent to address a long-standing problem: bridging the gap between experts who can manage large data infrastructures and business managers who need to use this data.

Isotopes AI’s AI agent, Aidnn, allows business managers to ask questions about data in plain language. Aidnn collects information from various sources—such as financial software, ERP, CRM, and cloud storage—and provides answers, as well as generates complex planning documents.

The startup’s founder, Arun Murthy, emphasizes that the project is not a simple chatbot. He explains that the agent can handle complex processes. For instance, for monthly revenue reports, it cleans, consolidates, and analyzes the data. Aidnn also shows users the steps it takes, the logic behind its decisions, and any anomalies in the data.

The founders of Isotopes AI, including Arun Murthy and his former colleagues, previously worked on large data projects such as Hadoop and Hortonworks. Murthy observed that even at leadership levels, access to such data was difficult, and he decided to solve this problem. He later described his time as Head of Technology at Scale AI as a “PhD-level” experience, which helped him deeply understand and develop AI models.

Although the startup faces competitors in the market, such as Salesforce’s Tableau, it claims that its product is highly advanced and has already filed for 10 patents.
