Google competitor Perplexity AI received $73.6 million in investment

Perplexity AI, a rival search engine to Google, received a $73.6 million investment. The AI-based search engine received this investment in a Series B investment round. Perplexity AI bought this investment at a valuation of $520 million.
Participants in the investment round led by IVP included NEA, Databricks, Nvidia, Bessemer Venture Partners, Kindred Ventures. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Elad Gil, GitHub CEO Nat Friedman, Shopify CEO Toby Lutke and Vercel founder Guillermo Rauch were also in attendance.
With the latest investment, Perplexity AI has received a total investment amount of 99 million.
Perplexity AI is the main competitor of other search engines. From its competitors, Microsoft has announced that it has brought ChatGPT support to the Bing search engine.
