The world's largest search engine, the American-based Google, will invest up to 2 billion dollars in the artificial intelligence company Anthropic.
A Google official noted that the company had previously invested $500 million in OpenAI's rival and had agreed to invest another $1.5 billion over time. Google has previously invested in Anthropic. The main reason for increasing this investment is that the company can compete with Microsoft in artificial intelligence.
Amazon announced last month that it would invest up to $4 billion in Anthropic to compete with rising Internet rivals in artificial intelligence. Founded by former OpenAI executives, Anthropic wants to compete with OpenAI and take the industry lead by trying to get the investment needed to become a leader in the technology industry.
