GPT-5, or whatever it's called, has been talked about vaguely many times in the past. However, yesterday OpenAI's Chief Technology Officer Mira Murati provided further clarification on its capabilities.
In a statement, Murati described the transition from GPT-4 to GPT-5 as someone growing up from high school to university.
"If you look at the development trajectory, systems like GPT-3 were maybe child-level intelligence," Murati says. We will use PhD intelligence. Things are changing and improving very fast."
