Honor has launched its new Honor Life 5G Portable WiFi portable router in China. The device, priced at just 199 yuan (about $30), can share mobile internet with up to 16 devices at the same time.
The compact router, weighing about 140 grams, is equipped with a Huawei-made HiSilicon chip. The device supports the 5G RedCap standard, designed for energy-efficient devices, and offers a maximum data transfer speed of 286 Mbps.
The Honor Life 5G Portable WiFi works in both 5G and 4G networks. In addition, the router, which supports Wi-Fi 6 technology, can automatically switch between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, which provides a more stable and faster connection.
The device is equipped with a built-in battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh and charges via a USB Type-C port. The color screen located on the front shows the user basic information such as internet speed, number of connected devices, and battery level in real time.
The new model is presented as a budget-friendly solution for travelers, mobile users, and small teams who need a stable internet connection.
