Instagram has now enabled the "Close Friends" feature for Reels posts and standard posts. Thanks to this feature, users can share their shared content only with selected people, not with all their followers. This new Instagram option allows users to share their posts with a more private and limited audience.
To use the Close Friends feature, it will be enough to select the "Close Friends" option when sharing a post. This way, the post will only be seen by designated close friends and will be shown with a green star icon.

This Instagram feature was first introduced in 2018 and has only been available for Stories since then. With the new update, users will be able to use this feature in their Reels and standard posts. This can be considered an important step towards providing more control over privacy.
