Jeff Bezos made an intriguing prediction during his public speech at the "Italian Tech Week" event in Italy. According to Financial Times, Bezos foresees millions of people living in space within the next few decades.
In Turin, while speaking with John Elkann, a member of Italy's prominent Agnelli family, Bezos touched on the factors that will enable human settlement beyond Earth.
He emphasized that people will live in space "mostly by their own choice." According to him, robots will handle the heavy and laborious tasks in this new way of life beyond Earth.
The billionaire also revealed an interesting detail about space infrastructure: he mentioned that AI data centers will float above our heads, in orbit. This suggests that future digital and technological operations could be managed directly from space.
Bezos’ company Blue Origin is currently active in space tourism and commercial spaceflight, and these predictions further confirm his visionary ambitions for humanity in space.
