Kazakhstan-based startup DOQ.kz, a startup that operates as a booking platform for searching for doctors and providing authentic reviews, has successfully completed its first bridge investment round. Startup MOST Ventures has attracted an investment of 660 thousand dollars from the venture fund and other investors. These funds will allow the startup to expand its position in Hungary, start operations in Romania and the United Arab Emirates.
The company has already won the trust of more than 400 private clinics and 3,000 doctors in Kazakhstan, collected more than 340,000 patient reviews. This year, DOQ.kz has successfully entered the markets of Hungary (odoktor.hu), Romania (prodoctor.ro) and Kyrgyzstan (odoctor.kg) and is rapidly expanding its services in these countries. The platform provides complete transparency: all reviews can only be edited by patients and remain unaltered, creating a trusted environment for both patients and healthcare providers.
Alim Khamitov, CEO of MOST Ventures, said about the investment, "MOST Ventures sees the DOQ.kz startup not only as a technological project, but also as a team with strong motivation and a clear vision. The fund sees the potential of this platform to change the market of medical services in Eastern Europe and wider areas. A part of the investment will be focused on technological innovations, and more information about this is expected to be shared in the near future." said his words.
DOQ.kz has already achieved success in the Hungarian market: in Budapest, about 4,000 patients register for doctor's appointments through odoktor.hu every month. The company aims to reach the leading position in the market within the next year.
Currently, the DOQ.kz team has 45 members, 9 of them work in the field of research and development. After the pandemic, the startup switched to a completely remote working format, which allowed to optimize internal processes aimed at global expansion and sustainable growth.
The heads of DOQ.kz, Aidar Aryngazin and Madi Maskenov, plan to continue the dynamic development of the startup.
