MegaSec, an Azerbaijani company specializing in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, participated in the 7th International Conference on Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence (NLPAI 2026), held in Urumqi, China. Together with young researchers from the MegaSec AI & Cybersecurity Laboratory at ADA University, the company presented five research papers at the conference.
The studies covered a range of topics, including low-resource language technologies, automatic speech recognition (ASR), knowledge graphs, explainable artificial intelligence (XAI), and multimodal misinformation detection.
One of the presented papers focused on automatic speech recognition for the Azerbaijani language. The research was co-authored by Qabil Gasimov, Director of MegaSec. According to him, the study represents an important step toward transforming AI research into practical solutions that benefit local languages, public institutions, and communities.
Qabil Gasimov also expressed his appreciation to Professor Samir Rustamov, Javid Huseynov, and the project's academic partners for their valuable contributions to the research.
MegaSec emphasizes that innovation is not limited to developing new technologies. The company sees contributing to scientific knowledge and strengthening Azerbaijan's position in the global AI ecosystem as key priorities.
