The Russian division of Microsoft — Microsoft Rus LLC — has officially been declared bankrupt by the Moscow Arbitration Court. The court also announced the initiation of insolvency proceedings against the company due to its inability to meet financial obligations.
According to reports, the bankruptcy process was launched in September 2025 following the company’s own заявление. At that time, its total debt to Russian companies exceeded 1.5 billion rubles. By court decision, Andrey Solomonov from the “Dostoyaniye” association was appointed as the insolvency administrator.
It is noted that Microsoft had announced the suspension of sales of its products and services in Russia back in March 2022. However, the local division continued to provide technical support to existing clients for some time afterward.
In recent months, the company reportedly had only one remaining client in Russia, who terminated cooperation in 2025. A company representative also stated that obligations to at least one creditor had been fully settled.
Thus, Microsoft has effectively завершила its operations in Russia and fully exited the market.
