Retail prices of mobile operators in Azerbaijan may be regulated by the state.
This issue was raised by members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MINDT) at a meeting held at the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).
It was noted that prices are high in Azerbaijan because retail prices of mobile operators are not regulated by the state. It was noted that regulating prices of mobile operators could be beneficial.
An ICTA official noted that according to the current legislation, mobile operators determine prices themselves and these prices are not regulated by the state.
