One of Netflix's executives, Ted Sarandos, has stated that the company's goal is to reach a market value of $1 trillion in the future. He spoke about this at the 2025 World Economy Summit.
Sarandos said that over the past five years, Netflix has doubled its revenue, increased its profits tenfold, and tripled its market capitalization. According to him, if this success continues, it is possible for Netflix to achieve this ambitious goal.
He added that Netflix could reach this milestone solely through its film and series streaming platform. However, the company is also expanding its activities in other areas. For example, in March, the Broadway stage hosted the theater adaptation of the popular series “Stranger Things.” In addition, Netflix stores will open this year in Philadelphia and Dallas.
All these plans show that Netflix aims not only to remain an online platform but also to become a major entertainment company with a presence in the real world.
