The OpenAI GPT-5 model is developing a new conversational style that will interact with users in a more friendly and natural way. This differs from the previous GPT-4o model, which sometimes gave responses that users found frustrating. By “frustrating” responses, it means answers that were occasionally incorrect, inappropriate, or not in the expected style.
Sam Altman stated that in the future, users will be able to customize GPT-5’s conversational style to suit their preferences.
One of the new features is that Plus and Pro plan users can choose from three modes for GPT-5:
Auto – standard response mode
Fast – faster responses
Thinking – more detailed and in-depth responses
Subscribers also have access to previous models, including GPT-4o, 4.1, o3, and o4-mini. GPT-4.5 is available only for Pro plan users for coding purposes.
Plus plan users can make up to 3,000 queries per week. In GPT-5 Thinking mode, a single query can process up to 196,000 tokens. Once the limit is reached, the system automatically switches to GPT-5 Thinking Mini.
Some users want the “emotional” version of GPT-4o, which behaves more like a friendly companion.
