Project presentation of more than 50 ICT heads of state institutions took place at "Digital Academy"

The "Digital Academy" training program initiated by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) has been completed. Thus, in the first session of the trainings held in May of this year, 8 groups of ICT officials from different state institutions were formed. In June, the second session of the program took place, as well as mentoring sessions conducted by data experts from Estonia's Digital Nation and IRIA. In these sessions, training participants got acquainted with data-based decision-making mechanisms in digital transformation projects and advanced local and foreign practices in the direction of improving citizen-oriented government services through them.
At the final event held on July 3, project presentations were held by groups involving more than 50 people responsible for digital transformation representing 36 state institutions. The projects were presented in front of the expert panel consisting of Inara Valiyeva, Chairman of IRIA, Vusal Khalilov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Valeh Nabiyev, Chief Data Officer of Pasha Holding, and other officials.
Group projects cover finance, health, education, transport, sustainability and other clusters. During the program, each group worked on a project that proposed possible solutions to a specific problem related to their specialized cluster. Topics such as predicting the probability of crime, natural disaster floods, inflation and the number of hospital beds, employment and public transport optimization were reflected in the projects. The essence of the teamwork was the development of methods of achieving effective results with a combination of data-oriented approach and leadership skills.
After the presentation of the projects, the training participants were awarded with certificates of the "Digital Academy".
It should be noted that the goal of the "Digital Academy" program, based on teamwork, is to promote the application of advanced international experience in digital transformation in Azerbaijan and train a group of leaders to strengthen cooperation between state institutions. The main advantage of the program is the provision of an opportunity for participants to work on projects as a team and effectively exchange ideas on digital transformation topics during the training.
