"ASAN service" 3rd "RoboCode" camp has ended

The “RoboCode III” robotic coding camp, jointly organized by the “Innovation Center” of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Bilişim Vadisi” and “SAHA Robotics” company, and sponsored by “Expressbank”, has concluded.
The closing event was attended by Vüsal Rustamov, Director of the “Innovation Center”, Tuba Öztepe, Deputy CEO of “Bilişim Vadisi”, Nida Emin Kirişçi, Ecosystem Development Specialist, Burak Can Kaya, Head of Robotics Behavior and Navigation Systems at “SAHA Robotics”, camp participants and other guests.
The prototypes prepared by the 5 teams formed during the camp and advancing to the final stage were evaluated by the jury.
The winners were awarded the right to participate in the internship program at “SAHA Robotics” company and benefit from a 1-year office opportunity at “Bilişim Vadisi”. In addition, the winning team that fully develops and completes its project will have the opportunity to participate in the “Take Off Istanbul” startup summit.
A total of more than 150 applications were received for the month-long camp, and online and physical training was provided to 105 participants selected based on the criteria. The training program included technological topics such as “Basics of ROS 2”, “SLAM algorithms”, “ROS 2 tools and creating a personal environment in Gazebo”, as well as training in entrepreneurship and team building.
A total of 924 applications were received for the camps, which have been organized since 2023 and are taking place for the third time this year, and more than 300 applicants have gained the right to participate in the competition.
The camp is being held in 2023 within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the “Innovation Center” and “Informatics Valley Baku”.The goal is to facilitate access to autonomous systems, robotics and automation technologies, and to provide young people who want to specialize and build a career in this field with knowledge and skills related to the “ROS” (Robot Operating System) ecosystem. Supporting participants in developing their projects in this field by promoting innovative solutions is also a priority.
