The implementation of Decree No. 718 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated June 3, 2019, on measures in the field of creation of "Government cloud" (G-cloud) and provision of "cloud" services, continues.
The next state institution that transferred its information systems and resources to the "Government Cloud" within the implementation of the decree was "Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation" Open Joint Stock Company ("ASK" OJSC). OJSC partially placed its information systems and resources in the Baku Data Center owned by "AznTelecom" LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. Azerbaijan Industrial Corporation acquired the Virtual server - IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and Backup - BaaS (Backup-as-a-Service) "cloud" services provided by "AzInTelecom". ASK is also provided with Microsoft products licensed by AzInTelecom. By placing IT systems in the "Government Cloud", the state institution ensured high availability of critical systems.
For your information, the information systems of "ASK" OJSC have been placed in the Data Center belonging to "AzInTelecom" LLC since 2019.
It should be noted that the executor of the "Government Cloud" project implemented by RINN is "AzInTelecom" LLC under the ministry. Within the framework of the project, the IT systems of state institutions are fully or partially migrated to Baku and Yevlax data centers owned by "AzInTelecom". With the migration of government agencies to the "Government Cloud", current IT costs are reduced and the productivity of information systems is increased. Thus, further improvement of the security of information systems, stable and stable IT infrastructure, high-quality service provision with prompt coordination and 24/7 monitoring service are achieved.
"AzInTelecom" LLC is the first institution in Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus region with "TIER III" international compliance certificate. Data centers owned by the company also meet the requirements of "ISO 20000", "ISO 22301" and "ISO 27001" certificates.
