"ChatGpt" activity may be restricted in Azerbaijan

In a public statement, "OpenAI" said that "ChatGpt" intended for use by persons older than 13 years does not store personal and confidential information. If any risks are detected by the country's cyber security agencies, "ChatGPT" activity in Azerbaijan may be restricted.

This was reported by the Azerbaijan Artificial Intelligence Laboratory about whether "ChatGpt" has access to the information of minors in the country.

The laboratory stated that "ChatGPT" observes certain norms in order to ensure the security of the data it receives: "OpenAI, the creator of the artificial intelligence bot, said in a public statement that the purpose of "ChatGpt" is to answer users' questions based on general information and speed up processes."

ChatGpt has been banned in Italy for collecting data on users of all ages, including teenagers. The laboratory informed that appropriate monitoring is already being carried out in Azerbaijan in order to prevent risks in this field: "If violations of privacy or cyber security rules are detected in ChatGpt, appropriate measures will be taken".

Elvin Abbasov, chairman of the management board of the Azerbaijan Association of Information and Communication Technologies Industry, said that "ChatGpt" or other artificial intelligence applications created by "OpenAI" do not have a special approach according to countries: "Yes, we must admit that certain threats related to "ChatGpt" there is In order to receive information from "ChatGpt", of course, you have to give it certain information. That is, "ChatGpt" collects certain information about us based on the questions we ask it.

"There are no restrictions on access to any resources in Azerbaijan. So we will have access to "ChatGpt". In addition, the legislation on Internet resources has not been fully improved. I think there is no impression that "ChatGpt" will be banned in Azerbaijan. Nor can I predict that this will happen in the near future. Because until then, there is a need to improve the legislation," he added.

It should be noted that today a number of countries restrict the activity of "ChatGpt". Some time ago, a ban was applied to "ChatGpt" in Italy. The reason for this was that "ChatGpt" intercepted the data of everyone, including teenagers.
