Registration has opened for the new training cohort at the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center.

The Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center—established jointly by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Innovation and Digital Development Agency in partnership with the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology—has opened registration for a new wave of training.

The Center is offering a special opportunity during this training cycle: the five graduates who achieve the highest results upon successfully completing the program will earn the chance to undertake an internship at international companies operating abroad, allowing them to apply their skills in a real-world work environment.

Azerbaijani citizens aged 17 and older who possess English language proficiency and basic ICT skills are eligible to apply. Registered candidates will proceed through a sequence of an examination and an interview. The examination, conducted by Technion experts, will assess candidates' logical and analytical thinking abilities, ICT knowledge and skills, and English language proficiency. Subsequently, 60 individuals who successfully pass the interview stage will be granted the right to participate in the training on a full scholarship. Only those achieving the highest results at each stage will qualify to participate in the subsequent stage.

Throughout the program, classes will be conducted by the academic staff of the Technion Institute, utilizing their teaching methodology to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge. Training sessions will run for six months, with classes held from 09:00 to 16:00, followed by practical exercises from 16:00 to 21:00.

The program plans to train two groups of specialists: a "Red Team" (offensive) and a "Blue Team" (defensive). The teams will develop their skills by participating in simulations during the training period. Those who successfully complete the program will be awarded an official certificate from the Technion Institute of Technology. The registration deadline is November 8, 2026.

It is worth noting that, to date, approximately 420 cybersecurity specialists have graduated from the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center across seven training cohorts, while 60 individuals are currently undergoing training. The Center also implements initiatives to enhance employment opportunities for its graduates; currently, the employment rate among graduates from the first six cohorts stands at 90%. In addition to specialized workforce training, the Center conducts cybersecurity awareness campaigns, training sessions for executives and staff of government agencies, and activities supporting the development of local cybersecurity products.
