The next meeting of the "digital.leadership" program was held at the initiative of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency. IRIA Deputy Chairman Rashad Khalikov opened the event with an introductory speech. Speaking about the essence of the meeting, the official of the Agency emphasized the exceptional importance of these meetings in terms of coordinating the digital transformation in the country and more efficiently organizing the work of building the digital future.
"Azerbaijan has made significant progress in building a digital government so far. Our goal in holding these meetings is to evaluate new perspectives for the near future in the context of digital transformation and to define a joint action strategy in the direction of applying adequate solutions to the challenges we may face," said IRIA chairman advisor Shahin Aliyev, sharing his opinion about the meetings held within the framework of "digital.leadership".
Kamran Agayev, head of the Data Management Department of IRIA, made a presentation on "Data-based management" at the event. During his speech, he touched on the points that are important to pay attention to during the transition to data-based decision-making mechanisms and the improvement of the database in the public sector. He talked about the work done by IRIA in the direction of creating an open data base and pointed out that cooperation with other institutions in this field is a priority.
On the second day of the event, Ilham Salmanov, the leading specialist of the Digital Solutions Quality Control Department of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, made a presentation on evaluation and monitoring of digital government solutions. In his speech, he covered the processes of assessment and monitoring of compliance with technological equipment and software standards of relevant state bodies. He especially emphasized that the purpose of evaluation and monitoring is to verify and ensure compliance of state information systems and resources, as well as equipment and technology used for the organization and provision of electronic services.
At the 2-day event, interactive discussion sessions were held under the leadership of business trainer Farhad Parvizi. During the discussions, representatives of various state institutions exchanged broad views on the digital future of Azerbaijan. Based on the feedback from the participants, a road map covering the development, coordination, integration and other relevant issues of digital transformation was agreed upon.
It should be noted that 65 representatives representing 45 state institutions participated in the second meeting of the "digital.leadership" Program. A series of meetings to ensure a rapid transition to digital government, to increase international competitiveness in the field of digital government and digital innovations, to coordinate the activities of state bodies on the development and promotion of digital government, as well as proposals and opinions on unified coordination in the field of formation, integration and effective management of state information resources and systems is held for the purpose of discussion.
